The Unknown Kiters, kitesurfing on the East Coast of the United States

The Story about a Community

By Jacques Buré   jacquesbure

Category: Sports & Adventure

This book is about the community of kite surfers that I found around WDC, the Chesapeake Bay and the ocean on the East coast of the United States. In it, I tried to describe those anonymous who loves the sport and who spend time checking the weather forecast hoping to drive to the shore and rig their kite no matter what. This book is about friendship and life. I wanted to report on the myriad of kitesurfing sessions I had with the friends I met when I arrived in the States four years ago. I hope you will enjoy it. May this book bring you to the shore with a different look at this curious, still nascent, sport. May the pictures make you feel like trying one day.

When preparing this book, I also thought about Ian. Ian is my friend. He is six. Still, he does not speak for some reason. I hope this book, somehow, will bring him some comfort. This is the reason why I have added a US$10 on the top of the production costs for this book. For each book, the US$10 will go to assist Ian with therapy... Thanks for your contribution...
