Although qi peng is an emerging artist from the Salt Lake City area, he has been working on his art for 8 years despite his relatively short exhibition history (can be found at http://www.qipeng.net). This catalogue raisonne, which includes all completed work from 2000 to 2007, documents all of this controversial artist's works from paintings to works on paper to sculpture to digital etchings, etc. This particular book includes a checklist for each known work as well as a corresponding reproduction of that work.
qi peng, who is a conceptual and minimalist artist, lives in Salt Lake City. He has been exhibited at various galleries such as Iao Gallery and modern8 Gallery throughout the city. He will be featured in a group show at the Lab at Belmar in Denver, CO during 2008. The subject matter ranges from religious themes to pornography within a wide array of seductive imagery.
