About the Book
Ever since the early years, photography has been renowned for its ability to capture the snapshots of our lives -- a child's first birthday, a bride on her wedding day or other special moments. Photography can capture so much more -- like the soft green reflection of tree tops in a mountain stream or the texture of color that exists only within the first three petals of a flower. It is within these moments that so much life exists that we normally never see.
Just like a painter searching for that perfect subject, I have searched long and hard to capture these moments. Whenever I succeed I have a name for the finished product -- Lens Art. It is with this in mind that I have created this book, a compilation of images from across the United States that show the color and texture of life. Some of the images are pure abstractions while others are simple black and white captures that emphasize the lines and shapes that surround us.
I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have enjoyed the journey of creating it.

About the Creator
George Payne
Houston, TX
I has been taking pictures for over twenty years, and I have been published in all types of national and regional print/film media. Some of my work has been featured in a Hollywood Movie production and as the background for a future congressman's campaign commercial. In addition to my publishing, I also teach photography classes for the national sporting goods store, REI. My goal is to show that even the most common of things have uncommon beauty. In this hypermedia world of the strange and bizarre, it nice to see this new perspective. I hope you enjoy my work, as I much as I have enjoyed creating it.
