About the Book
I travel for similar reasons that I take photographs. It allows me to escape the mundane, the routine, the greyness of everyday life. To discover the new, the unusual and the beauty around us. To immerse myself in another culture, language and food and soak up as much knowledge as possible. As with my
photography, it is the journey that inspires me, not the final destination.
I have sipped tea with Bedouins in the Wadi Rum desert, floated down the Nile river, been married in Thailand and belly danced in Dubai. This April I decided to take a journey through Vietnam traveling by local train from Hanoi to Saigon.
Armed with my new camera and a desire
to discover a new culture and people I set about not only to capture the beautiful landscape of the Vietnamese coast, but also the people in their everyday lives.
The following images are a documentary of my experience. I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I did.
