About the Book
The people of Guatemala City and the surrounding countryside live in somewhat devastating conditions. Many people live around the Guatemala City Dump, and scavage their food from it. They gather the garbage that is recyclable so that they can sell it to buy food, clothes, water, and an education for their families. Despite their very poor and sad circumstances, the Guatemalan people make the best of every suituation, and find joy in everyday life. This book seeks to show the good and the bad parts of life for these people, and to show the joy and hope that they have in all circumstances.

I am currently a senior in college, graduating in December 2010 with a B.S. in Photography. I have a passion for photography of all types, but am most interested in the types of photography that most other people don't do. I love underwater photography. I love shooting and developing my own film in the darkroom. I like the more obscure forms of photography. That is what makes me unique as a photographer.
