Instant Gratification is a collection of fine art Polaroid images by Heather Oelklaus. This book contains 121 images creating using various Polaroid techniques. Many of the films used are not being made anymore or will soon be taken out of production. The techniques in this book vary from Emulsion Lifts (also called Emulsion Transfers), time zero manipulations, pinhole, composites images, and images with no manipulation.

Heather Oelklaus has been exploring traditional black and white photography, night photography, long exposure photography, lightning photography, and Polaroid manipulation and emulsion lifts. Heather’s work has been exhibited at the Colorado Springs Fine Art Center in the “Colorado 2002” and the “Colorado 2004” exhibitions. Besides Colorado, Heather has shown in Illinois, Iowa, New York, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Nebraska, and Kansas.
