This is an exhaustive 150 page book with some spectacular photos of the trek to Mount Everest. Over 6 years, Craig Allen travelled three times to the Himalaya, amassing an impressive porftolio of photos.
Here he presents some of his best photos, trek maps and an informal commentary on life in the hills. With a particular emphasis on the sights, sounds and smells of Kathmandu, and then trekking through the Khumbu valley to Mt Everest.

Travel is a great passion - so too is photography. I'll take every chance my wife allows to get out in the bush and explore parts well off the beaten path.
I love the Australian bush, particularly its rainforests. At home I grow orchids and small children (so far the collection extends to two children, and about 200 orchids).
My all-time favourite destination is Nepal, where I've trekked to Mt Everest several times (and planning several more trips in years to come). Vanuatu comes second - for its beautiful scenery, superb underwater life, and its friendly people.
