About the Book
In January of 2009, Barry Rodriguez set out on a two-year adventure of discovery around the world.
Living in slums, hacking through jungles, sleeping in Haitian refugee camps... He went to some of the world's most forgotten places to tell stories of hope in the midst of darkness.
Along the way, he met many breathtaking children.
