Winter frost on a back door window, a wood duck in the early morning light at Union Slough, day lilies taking in a morning shower - are some of the many moments captured in the book.

Images of Kossuth County is not meant to be a documentary of the county's attractions, but a collection of images that reveal its beauty along with words of inspiration.

As you browse through these pages I hope you find an appreciation and love for the same beauty I tried to capture through my lenses. The art of photography is a mere attempt to record a moment in time and appeal to the aesthetic-emotional nature in man. Occasionally it all comes together!

Many of Ed's works have been published in numerous Iowa and National publications. He has taught photography at Iowa Lakes Community College, and through the Continuing adult Education program. He is a naturalist when it comes to preserving God's creation. He has photographed much of Northern Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Vermont, Upper state New York, Florida, Yellowstone, Arizona, Texas and traveled to Southern Asia. Currently he photographs weddings and maintains a portrait studio. He plans on publishing more books on his stateside and international travels.
