About the Book
For 12 amazing days in May 2009, Norm Chapman and Chadd McCormick traveled the Irish country-side. From Dublin to Galway and from Waterford to Sligo. From quaint Bed and Breakfasts to an elegant hotel and even a 370 year old Castle.
From the 5000 year old historical sites of Knowth and Newgrange to the 800 year old St. Canice's Cathedral to the brand new Spire of Dublin. We ate Chinese, French, Italian, American and even a little Irish cuisine. We drove 1756 kilometers (1091 miles) in a Toyota Corolla, on the "wrong" side of the road. On multi-lane divided high-ways and single lane, gravel country roads. Through roundabouts and pedestrian malls!! To the tops of the mountains to the depths of the valleys and from the beach to the city, we were there!
Ireland Welcomed Us is our photo-memories and the stories that accompany them. 160 pages of full color photos detailing the daily events of our travels. Visit the people and places who made our journey so special.
Come along on the vacation of a lifetime and discover how Ireland Welcomed Us!
