Gerald (Jerry) Currier

Jerry’s formal photographic training was from the U.S. Air Force School of Photography at Lowry A.F.B., Denver, Colorado in 1956. After graduation he was assigned to Homestead A.F.B. in Florida as a still photographer and lab technician. He was later assigned to Yokota A.F.B. in Japan as a photographer. After his discharge from active duty he worked for several photographic studios in Salt Lake City, Utah as a lab technician, commercial, wedding and portrait photographer. During this period his images were featured in magazine advertisements for such companies as Champion Spark Plug and Goodyear Tire and Rubber. Until January 2009 he managed the Weekly Assignment, a popular feature on Robert Farber's Photoworkshop.com and is a regular contributor of feature articles and images to that website’s Double Exposure on-line magazine. Recently, his images have been published in Best of Photography Annual 2005 and 2006. Jerry lives in San Francisco, California
