My journals rarely make you think and are seldom educational. David Thoreau or John Muir I am not. What one should take from this? My god if he can do it, why can't I. In '99 I didn't think twice about stuffing my life in a storage locker and hoping on a bus for 26 hours leaving school, job & a not so understanding girlfriend for the woods, because I read a book. Six years later, it should be easier. No girlfriend, currently out of school, one job on hiatus and the other really isn't that hard to leave. Worry not, I will leave for the AT on St Patty's day with Guinness in hand.

These are my 2005 trail journals of my hike on the Appalachian Trail from Georgia ~ Pennsylvania.
