This book samples an artistic portfolio of Mikhail Zarovny, a Russian American painter residing in West Hartford, CT. The works selection is based on an explicit or implied presence of an angel in paintings, all in oil on canvas or cardboard. The paintings have a slight primitivist and humorous flavor and somewhat allude to lubok, a traditional Russian folk print art. Included are several comments by people who observed the paintings and a brief intro.
In addition, the book displays a few samples of the artist's grand work in St. Panteleimon Russian Orthdodox Church in Hartford, CT.
