This book is a testament to B. S. Sodhi’s enduring fascination with rural India. The book by no means represents the villages of entire India. India is too diverse to be captured in a book or a set of photographs.
However the simplicity of the people and their unassuming life is common to all of rural India. While urban India has made huge leaps to stay abreast with the rest of the world in the 21st century; rural India seems to be trapped in a time warp.
