Martin Naarmann is one of the great unheralded international artists. He chooses to create using engraving, which is not a lesser medium than paint, but often requires greater sensual openness in the viewer to experience the joy of minimalist Line. His best work has the structural originality of Picasso, the passion of Chinese calligraphy, the colors of nature, and the wit of Daumier/Jerry Van Amerongen caricature.
