About the Creator
Kristina Nilsson
Piteå, Sweden
Kristina Nilsson is a dedicated amateur handicrafter that likes to learn new techniques. Silk ribbon embroidery was totally unknown to her, until she participated in a course, during her one year stay in Tanzania. After that course she became committed to the handicraft. The hand dyed silk ribbons, organza ribbons, mouline threads, perlé threads and raw silk threads she uses are imported from South Africa. These products are also for sale in her webshop (http://www.cornix.se/embroidery). Through classes, courses, markets, lectures and workshops she disseminates the new but, old handicraft - Silk Ribbon Embroidery.
