Between 1999 and 2007 I enjoyed exposure to one of the most significant photography collections in the world during my time at the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television in Bradford, UK.
Combined influences from eight years of their thought provoking and culturally stimulating exhibitions broadened photographic boundaries for me with joyous discoveries ranging from the panoramic vertical genius of Horst Hamann (“New York Vertical” was my first, and still is my all time favourite architectural photography book) to the epic works of Andreas Gursky. I evolved a pleasing realisation for capturing and presenting photo artworks from the aesthetics of our man made environment, something I’ve always found both visually satisfying and compelling.
The book was created as both a life marker for a change of direction and as a physical representation of my work aside from web content, it contains a personal selection of 42 images from a four year period spanning 2005 to the 1st day of 2008.
