A photographic exploration of shifting landscapes through sand.
From the book jacket:
The world changes. It is forever being shaped. Even in stillness there is the subtle movement of settling. The varied landscapes are made of moments in time. Photographs are the only memories, and they are memories of only one tiny piece of that moment in time. Each passing day shows the power and persistence of nature to showcase its constant motion. Whether it is the awesome mountain ranges of the world, the grandeur of a canyon, the ripple and eventual crest of a wave, or the rush of a river eating at the earth, the scale can be adjusted for our minds o grasp by looking at sand. It's about movement.
