During the summer of 2007, Cameroonian Professor Gilbert Doho of Case Western Reserve University led a small group to Cameroon to experience Africa. While each members of the expedition had their own reason for participating, an overarching theme of the trip was cultural discovery and exploration. The book is a photo essay that documents the people, places, and experieces of Cameroon.

Jared Bendis

Jared Bendis is an award-winning installation artist, photographer, teacher, and filmmaker. Jared is a specialist in photography, virtual reality, and computer graphics and serves as the Creative New Media Officer for Case Western Reserve University’s Kelvin Smith Library he also holds an adjunct appointment where he teaches multimedia and New Media literacy. He is co-owner of Lemming Labs which develops interactive media applications for the iPhone and iPad.

On his first trip overseas, in March 2000, Jared visited the Chateau de Pierrefonds in France and became driven (if not obsessed) with capturing and sharing cultural and architectural experiences. As an artist and teacher, Jared has photographed over 400 architectural, archeological and cultural sites (primarily castles) in 14 countries.
