About the Book
Alcatraz is best known for the dangerous and infamous. We Player's Hamlet on Alcatraz temporarily transformed The Rock into a venue for William Shakespeare's famed play that embodies many of the reasons society's worst inmates were sentenced there; greed, envy, rage and revenge. The pictorial displays the richness of this site specific production as it moves through portions of Alcatraz not open to the general public. An incredibly intimate view of Hamlet was possible as audience members were mere inches from the performers. We Player's Hamlet on Alcatraz was a once in a lifetime opportunity for both cast and audience members.
