The poems in this book give a vivid snapshot of one mother's thoughts and feelings. The poems uniquely capture her voice. "A Woman's View" touchingly captures the bittersweet angst which bubbles beneath the matriarchal strength of a lot of family women/mothers of her generation who often harbor silent regrets regarding the silent sacrifices they make to keep families intact, often at the expense of personal longings.
