A photo journal of six Philippine Islands. It is a slice, a tilaw of the Philippines today. A carefully chosen selection of 400+ photos from over 7000 taken. The people, the places, and amazing scenes of nature and history including Corregidor, Tacloban, Ormoc, and underwater coral and fish from Samar and Leyte. The interest and effectiveness of the photos increase as the pages turn.

Care is taken to keep the reader apprised of the geography involved, as it is such an important part of understanding the local cultures.

Witty editorial snippets are found throughout which are intended to juxtapose the local Philippine culture against the narrow experiences of the author, without intent to judge the culture but only to highlight unexpected and enjoyable differences.
