Three weeks after I graduated high school in 2001, I traveled through three countries, stayed in 6 metros and visited countless cities, towns and villages...all in the span of 21 days. When I left the States, I had three different currencies on me, lira for Italy and the Vatican City, francs to use in France and peseta for Spain.

I was ready, and had everything I needed. My luggage was packed. I had a mini-disk player with tons of music ready to be played, and most importantly I had a camera and plenty of film rolls to capture all the moments that I, as a tourist, was obligated by default to take pictures of and moments that represented the “realness” of many of the places that I visited. What follows, as told through this book, are countless memories, moments and facts about my first trip to Europe in the summer of 2001.
