This book contains slides and text of presentations by the author at annual conventions of the Noritake Collectors' Society in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2007. NCS is an international group interested in porcelains made by the Noritake Company of Nagoya Japan, and other Japanese companies. Presentation topics include ivory porcelain items with backstamp 29.1, evolution of tree designs in Noritake porcelains, use of pink in Noritake art deco porcelains as related to deco architecture in south Florida, and Noritake cigarette and smoking items and their relationship to the history of smoking.
The author has been collecting Noritake porcelains, primarily from the era of 1920-1930, for over 10 years. She is the past Secretary and current President of the Noritake Collectors' Society.
