About the Book
I consider myself an honorary New Yorker, though I was born and raised in the suburbs of New Jersey.
Having both lived in the city for long periods of time, my parents made sure I grew up going to NYC as often as possible-- and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was always another perfect excuse to head into the city. As I got more and more into photography over the years, the more I wanted to record how I saw the city, as an honorary New Yorker, at an event traditionally geared towards tourists.
This book documents my family's usual routine on parade day--arriving in the city, traveling to my dad's office (which serves as our "home base"), watching the parade, and heading back home--while looking back at our memories of the parade through the years.

Hello, my name is Katherine. Right now I'm minoring in Photography in college, but beyond that I haven't really had any professional training. I work with both film and digital photography, and I love to experiment with combining both mediums. I made my first photo books last year as final projects for my photography classes, and now I'm hooked! I don't have much time to work on books as I'd like, but I have a ton of ideas that I'd like to flesh out in the future.
