The 38 images in this book were culled from 9 of my personal sketchbooks, completed between 1996 and 2005. The pages have been selected and paired to represent the dynamic of my work, and to show the dialogue between my figurative and abstract pieces. To date almost 100 sketchbooks have been filled since 1974. The role of the sketchbook in my creative process is described in an essay on page 35. A brief biography on page 39 provides an overview of my artistic experience.
