Robert Plutchik created a WHEEL OF EMOTION in 1980. This wheel consisted of 8 basic emotions and 8 advanced emotions (each based upon a combination of 2 basic emotions).
These two combinations make up the most recognizable emotional traits in our collective consciousness. Through conversation and memory stimuli, the author took pictures of the facial expressions that brought out these emotions.
