366 Days of Me and M.E. shows daily photographic self portraits by artist Rachel Groves through one year of chronic illness from
4 May 2007 - 3 May 2008.
Rachel has the chronic debilitating condition of M.E. (also called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome CFS and CFIDS).
Rachel's aim with this year long daily project was to approach the same subject, day in day out and to find creative ways to explore it.
As well as an atistic project these photographs are often a brutally honest portrayal of Rachel's life with ME.
Diagnosed with ME just five months before the first photograph this book also documents her coming to terms this chronic illness. With every daily self portrait we also see an intoxicating passion for photography evolve.
