The Story of Ryan James Hendry

This book was created from emails and photos that I took as Ryan was born and went through open heart surgery to save his tiny life. We knew of his condition ahead of time and I was there to help take care of his big sister, my son and his wife and to keep the family and friends across the country up to date on his progress. I also took photos and kept a website so that our praying friends could keep up with everything. I realized later that the emails, which I still had, made a perfect diary which we were too busy to keep separately. I also found that since my daughter-in-law was with Ryan every day in the hospital, she had never even seen the email that I was sending out. When she saw them, she cried and it made her remember both the bad and the very good times. It was a perfect way to capture the journey. I made this book for them, for the doctors that took care of Ryan so that they could show parents going through the same thing that there is indeed hope, and for Ryan who will want this when he's a grown-up having his own children.
