Contemporary studio art glass is alive and thriving in Taos, New Mexico. The artists living and working in Taos in glass grouped together to hold, under the guidance and support of their primary art guild, Glass Alliance - New Mexico, the 2008 Taos Art Glass Invitational. The exhibition was held at Henningsen Fine Art in Taos and featured local and national artists working in glass.
Taos has long been a vital center in which for artists to live and work. The high altitudes, the clear light and skies, the varied and colorful geology of the mountains and high desert mesas make this an especially inspirational place for artists to work and grow. Taos lives in our heart and spirit and beckons to us as a place of journey and expression for the artistic soul.
Herein lies a glimpse into the unique art and special people who were part of the 2008 Taos Art Glass Invitational.
