Fine-art photographer for over thirty years with work in the Museum of Modern Art, NYC; the Bibliotheque National in Paris, France: the Stadtmuseum, Munich, Germany; the Houston Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas. 25 Year Retrospective 1999-2000 at the Huntsville Museum of Art and most recently "Portrait of An Alabama Farm" at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts (Nov. 07 - Jan. 08). Schaefer teaches photography at New York University in New York City and writes for Robert Farber's on-line magazine Double Exposure.
