About Hidden doors
The hidden door is a door that is neither meant to be invisible like classic secret doors nor clearly visible as regular doors. These doors are something in between, often disguised by using the same materials as the surrounding walls i.e. brick, wood etc, but still clearly visible with often visible handles and locks. They seem to share an ambiguity - to be seen and still not.
The doors seem to share the same purpose: to access a function behind them (a lever, a machine, or something) rather than being an entryway into another room. In a way they are the most secret of doors, rarely opened, seldom revealing their purpose and always locked with it’s keys safely put away under someones supervision. The hidden door almost always looks unwanted as if it wasn’t supposed to be there. As if it is the result of the builder saying to the architect:
“-We’ll have to have build a door to access this lever here - but don’t worry - you’ll hardly see it.”
These doors are almost always unique in contrast to the main entrances, windows and other openings of houses which are fairly often the standard catalogue variety and this makes the hidden door one of the more ambitious of doors, as a Fletch-type private investigator - really making an effort not to be noticed.

To document different hidden doors (and maybe the keys that open them) in a neutral, objective way. It is the picture of the door itself that is important, not what it contains or opens up to.
