This book celebrates new beginnings in life and in love. It tells the story of our return to Hawaii’s Big Island -- to South Point at sunset where Dennis asked me to marry him more than a quarter century earlier, to the Kona Surf (now the Sheraton), to Volcano National Park and to the Black Sands Beach -- this time with our children as witnesses and “our own” Black Sands Beach House from which to venture and “our own” sea turtles with whom to swim and sunbathe.
It also tells of an amazing God who generously handed us a wonderful new beginning through an unexpected early retirement offer just weeks before our departure. And finally, it shares the scripture study we did there – “In the Beginning, God Created” -- illustrated with photos of each aspect of God’s creation, come to life before our eyes.
