Frank Leonard fell in love with photography at the age of eleven, the very first time he watched an image emerge in a tray of developer. It was magic, and he was hooked for life.
From the age of twelve he worked in camera stores and studios in Santa Cruz, California, with excellent mentors along the way. At the age of fourteen through sixteen he was the assistant photographer to the official Miss California Pageant photographer, Trini Contreras. At the age of seventeen, he had his first opportunity to do a figure photoshoot.
When Frank shot his first outdoor figure photoshoot, four and a half years ago, after a lifetime of shooting landscapes, it all came together. The beauty of the female form, in line and curve, in light and shadow, provided many of the same elements that had drawn him to landscape photography. The female form and nature. What a beautiful combination!
In this portfolio you will find two hundred of the very best figure photos, landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, people photos, astronomy photos, and flora and fauna that Frank has photographed to date.
Frank has just completed the construction of a frame shop, photo studio, and photo gallery on his property.
