John Goldsmith is a professional photographer. Born in Detroit (USA), he made his way north to Vancouver (Canada) in 2003. His artwork draws from documentary photography and has been featured as part of numerous exhibitions and venues including the 2012 Format Festival in Derby (UK), the Bòlit Contemporary Art Center in Girona (Spain), Third Floor Gallery in Cardiff (Wales) and the 2012 Head On Photo Festival in Sydney (Australia) as well as Vancouver-based shows. His artwork is held in numerous privately held collections.

John is founding member of the Strange.rs International Photography Collective and a contributor to Street Reverb Magazine. In 2007, he authored an article for Photosho Magazine and recentely PhotoEd Magazine published an in depth interview about John and his street work. Having an interest in the artistic, educational, and philisophical aspects of photography, he regularly gives public lectures.
