About the Book
Over 170 people in eight locations in the United States brought their precious objects. These are things they have had for a long time that have special meaning that they would not or could not replace if they lost them. Each subject was asked to write two or three sentences about their choice. The photographer did not know most of the subjects and few of the stories before the pictures were taken. This about people's search for their own values and stories. About what matters in the stuff of our lives.
