SEXUAL GUMBO
delicious spoonfuls of Southern sensuality
By Laura Kuhn
Boheme13
It’s hard to tell the truth while lying in bed,
so I’m standin’ in the kitchen,
cookin’ up a series of post-coital columns called Sexual Gumbo.
Formulated from the cookbook of scandalous love,
I’m tossing together ingredients-- sex, food, and the Old South--
as my word processor becomes a food processor,
slicing and dicing bits n’ pieces
of passion, provisions, and dear ole Dixieland
into a simmering, sexy soup.
Like a carnal casserole, each anecdote of Sexual Gumbo
dishes out a healthy serving
of sultry innuendoes, sexual connotations, and delicious tidbits
pertaining to the lusty Southland and its southern appetite
for corruption, carelessness, and cuisine.
C’mon, darlin’, sample what I have to offer.
Heartily enjoy the stimulating spoonfuls of Sexual Gumbo.
Spoon me, baby!

About the Author
Laura Kuhn
Boheme13
Orlando, Florida
It's not uncommon for Laura to pack life into a pickup truck and hotfoot it out of her one-traffic-light hometown to relocate in Los Angeles, Orlando, or New Orleans, burning through life like a match struck and tossed to the propane-soaked floor.
It's not unusual for Laura to unroll the red carpet, learn the rules and then break some, and catch a case of the boogie-woogie blues as she spills paint across the face of a bare canvas and flirts with twilight like a southern-fried starlet.
And it's not unnatural for Laura to rebel against her innocent childhood of frog pond parties and cow chip bingo by bulldozing into an adult life of big city scandals and streetside stupors, blossoming into an imaginative bohemian artist with a life to love and a love to live.
