This book is my first. It is the progress from the first 7 months of using and experimenting with my Canon 400D SLR.

Using song lyrics to express some of the photos taken, I have enjoyed taking photos or what may seem to some as 'ordinary' everyday images, capturing strangers in different light and some images of landscapes. These images are from Andalucia and London.

My work is a journey through using my first SLR camera. Prior to owning this I would take photographs of mainly architechture and landscapes. I am now drawn towards portraits, particulary trying to get to either know the subject - or not at all. No inbetween. I am fascinated making what may look like an ordinary everyday image into something quite extraordinary. I am using lyrical association with my books - as almost always I hear lyrics to particular songs to some of the images I take - hence the lyrics are sometimes displayed next to images.
