About the Creator
Andrew Courtney
Croton-on-Hudson, NY
Andrew Courtney is an artist, teacher and activist for social change. The three hats he wears emerge from a life where making art meets a passion for teaching and a commitment to actions for global social change. For many years still photography was the glue for all of Courtney's work. Portfolios of photographs made in Sandinista Nicaragua, Viet Nam, Apartheid South Africa, Cuba and the Palestine Territories remain an important legacy of his craft and his world view. In recent years filmmaking has been the focus of his work.
