All photographs in this book come from Grétarsson’s walks outside in the ever-changing Icelandic landscape and portray strange creatures like trolls, ogres, giants and monsters, which have taken the form of rocks and cliffs.

The photographer considers his subjects sculptures formed by Mother Nature herself out of rocks, cliffs and lava. This world of adventure opens up to people once they stop observing things superficially and begin looking into the landscape.
