Funding for education in America is in a crisis. Together, we can implement inspirational ideas to help with this immensely important issue. This proposal presents creative ways to raise funds for public libraries and schools, involve students and have a beautiful community event at the same time. Really good ideas always involve community.
A story is outlined. The characters and locations in the story are the drawings in this book. Participants are invited to write the adventures of the characters provided. A contest would be held in local schools (libraries, senior centers, youth centers…) where the best stories written become published, along with their related images. A fund raising event would then be hosted by a public library or school. The winners would read their stories and the books would be sold to raise funds for education.
