About the Creator
Holly Crooks is a Halifax visual artist whose work includes photography, sculpture and costume design for contemporary dance. She has worked with dancers for over twenty years and states: "I am continually inspired by the passion and dedication of dance artists I photograph and amazed by the power of the medium of dance to speak to the human heart." She has been exhibited since 2000 in solo and group exhibitions in Halifax and in Ottawa, Canada. Her work is part of the permanent collection of the Art Bank of Nova Scotia. Her work with Mocean Dance*, which began in 2001 when the company was founded, is ongoing and continues a collaboration between artists and artistic disciplines. Stay tuned for further developments.
