About the Book
Rock ’n’ Roll Parents: Portraits of Rockers With Their Kids catalogs five installments (four old, one brand new) of a photography project devoted to music, parenthood and the idea that the two are far from mutually exclusive.
Started in 2005, Rock ’n’ Roll Parents launched Kelly Davidson’s career as a prominent freelance Boston photographer. Her subjects have ranged from world-renowned rock stars to friends coming up through local scenes, each sharing a passion for music and the determination to balance artistic goals with family life.
Each image prompts us to imagine a wackier definition of parenthood—and a more grounded definition of rock ’n’ roll.
