About the Book
The correct term for this photography is half underwater and half above water view.
As a diver and image maker I photograph the ocean as a way of life. When you film whales and sharks for many years you begin to miss those encounters. I realize during a sailing race that by using a 15mm lens on my Nikon camera and dome port in my underwater housing I can split the image and capture the action above and below the water line. That means to achieve this I need to few feet from the sailboat.
That gives me the action, the colors, the sound and interaction between boat and sea. The moment the edge.
