About the Creator
The eccentric m.m.harris has many names. Historian, activist, synesthete, feminist, musician, filmmaker, artist, poet, lady adventurer, and, even, waitress all describe the humanistic author of 2008’s anticipated Poetry for Humans. Born and raised in Gatesville, Texas, a small prison town in the central part of the state, Harris has lived in Denton, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio and Waco, Texas as well as New Orleans, Louisiana. The daughter of a nuclear engineer and an artist, she is a graduate of Baylor University (2000) with degrees in Telecommunications and History with studies in Music, and Latin American Studies. Harris speaks five languages (English, Spanish, French, Latin and Italian) and plays the accordion and trumpet.
