The Tharp Farm

More than a hundred acres of God's earth, more than a million acres of God's love.
In this home Vernon and I raised six children. For us it was always more than a house, more than a farm. It was the glue that held our family together, and the love for the land was surpassed only by the love for our family.

In compiling this book in the summer of my 88th year, I pass on to future generations my love for the garden. I hope I have made the world a bit more beautiful and better because I have lived in it. With every passing year I place more value on relationships and find being with loved ones and good friends more emotionally uplifting.
When you are happy in the garden, you bring happiness to others.
