About the Book
Only if you know the complete
story, you can understand.....why
caracal Nina died too soon, for no
reason.
Caracal means 'black ears' in Turkish.
Large, tapering ears with tufts of black
hair, used for communication, are
probably the most unique feature of
this cat.
Caracals are remarkable jumpers, and
can jump several feet into the air to
knock flushed birds down with
their paw.
They are also very skilled climbers.
It is a privilege to work with the agile
and gorgeous medium-sized cats and
we were over the moon when Nina was
born and we could finally have her
as ambassador of our
Wild Cats World caracal projects.
The species is very much hunted
and killed in both Africa and India. In India
the species is already critically endangered.
In this book you can read the whole,
genuine story about Nina.
The happy start and the sad ending.
We will make sure she did not die in vain.

Babette, Wild Cats De Jonge
Bussum, Netherlands
Born in Bussum in the heart of the Netherlands, my life is dedicated to travel around the world to see, learn and fight for the endangered wild cats, big and small. My heart lies in Africa, in Kenia's Masai Mara, but also in South Africa where we started the Wild Cats World "Spotted Cats Conservation" Project with partner Daniell Cheetah Project. Writing books, suspense novels or (photo)books is another big passion, apart from (wildlife) photography, so lots of books will be released, also in the "Wild Cats" Series.
