About the Book
Joe Finney has been fortunate enough to travel, work, live and visit some very interesting places over the years. He is almost always intrigued by the “things” and the “stuff” that he encounters along the way. So much so that he decided to snap a photo here and there. “Dilapidated Dwellings (Pt.II),” is a compilation of dwellings and buildings that Joe decided to share because they are the ones that moved him most. Joe has a saying; if he views a picture as he’s passing by, and continues to walk, then it’s an "ok picture”. If he views a picture while passing by, and turns his head, then that’s an “exceptional picture”. But if he views a picture while passing by, but then; stop and turn around, and five minutes later he’s finally walking away, he says, now that’s an “Awesome Work of Art”!

I am, for the most part, a self-taught photographer. My photographs are first and foremost, are about what inspire and motivate me. I am very excited about nature, about how things appear in their natural environment and how those things appear after the state of decay has began to dominate. The natural existence of man made and natural beauty is for me a reality. I see beauty in just about everything in nature. I’ve also noticed that when I gaze upon an object I can get a since of a perfect shot and how that shot can be viewed by others.
