About the Book
"More Than Meets the Eye" is a book of fine art photography and 'stream of consciousness' writings that illuminate the otherwise invisible world of spiritual qualities.
From the Introduction...
"...This book marks my coming out of the spiritual closet. Talk of all things spiritual and, worst of all, God, used to make me uncomfortable. I was brought up on the East Coast by two devout atheists. I was never baptized, never went to church. For decades my skin crawled at the mention of Jesus. I bristled at the thought of ‘getting in touch’ with myself and I laughed, disdainfully, at those California air-heads soaking in hot tubs contemplating the state of their souls—or was it their navels? All that talk of love and surrender struck me as insincere platitudes or worse, misguided superiority.
Not anymore. Somewhere along the way I changed. I come to you today a hot-tub-soaking, platitude-loving, woo-woo-believer in spirit, inner voices and..."
My intent in creating this book is to share the wisdom and magic I have had the good fortunate to enjoy. I am deeply grateful for my life -- my family, my community, my talents, and my experiences, good and bad.
I hope you enjoy the book and are as blessed by it as I have been creating it.
