This book is the second XGRAY VISION year-end review and the end result of a grueling adventure in self-criticism. Going back through a year's worth of work and trying to distill it all into a small subset of images is not a task for the easily daunted. Oh it starts out easily enough, gathering together all of your favorites and the favorites of others, but then the challenge begins. The iterative process of pruning gets increasingly difficult and eventually there's just no room for that one photo you just had to include, however, the process is not without its rewards. There are those photos that you figured would never make it, but after looking at them over and over--next to other photos that they've never been next to before--you realize their brilliance and they take the place of one of those sure things. of course the fun part for me is that I'm not going to tell you which are which. Enjoy.

This book is the "mini" version of XGRAY VISION 2008, which is also available through my blurb store.

About the Author

Stephen Gray
xgray  Austin, TX, USA
"The world through a rectangle" is the simplest way to describe the photography of Stephen M. Gray. His works are part photographic art and part Zen practice. His objective, often minimalist compositions bring new light to life's mundane moments and details through the focus and context of the photographic rectangle. Though he has spent most of his adult life in such technical pursuits as software and Internet development, picking up the camera has reacquainted Stephen with his childhood goal to be an artist. Stephen lives and works in Austin, Texas with his wife Amanda. In addition to his fine art photography, Stephen also engages in event, portrait and stock photography.
